Hello Everyone,
We have been bad about keeping everyone updated, but we are still in a praying and waiting period for our adoption referral. It has been hard to wait patiently and God is really teaching us many things.
We took the summer to enjoy our kids and do as many fun mini vacations visiting family and spending quality time together. Both Jacob and Neha are back in school and doing well and ready for the challenges this new year brings. Jacob started private school this year at Northeast Christian and Neha is still at the same school.
Please continue to keep our family in your prayers and the people of Ethiopia going through a long drawn out drought this year.
Thanks for all your prayers.
Elizabeth, Kelivn, Neha and Jacob.

Passed Immigration - Waiting for a Referral and Staying in Prayer
We are so thankful and excited about the New Year to come in 2011. God continues to take our family through this journey filled with surprises along the way. We are happy to report that we have passed immigration at this point and now waiting on our referral from Ethiopia in much prayer.
We had a quiet and peaceful Christmas this year. The kids enjoyed their time with family, cousins (Dallas) and good friends in Houston. We did have an unexpected surprise this Christmas with Kelvin going on a mission trip to Kenya with our church. God had opened the doors in an amazing way that showed our family that He is in control of all things and our timing is not his timing. This was a life changing experience for Kelvin who has had a calling to serve in this way and is now finding some flexibility and time to do this. And yes, we survived without Kelvin for two weeks with no scrapes or visits to the ER. I was surprised at that myself.
The kids are back to their normal routine of school, activities and many more things they seem to get us involved in. We are so blessed to continue to have the prayers and support of our friends and family through this year and can truly feel them each day.
Isaiah 40:31 "Yet those who wait for the LORD will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary."
