Dear Friends and Family,
Thank you for all your prayers, support and concerns for our family. We appreciate all that you do uplifting us and our children up each day.
God has been so faithful to our family and he continues to be ever present in our lives. We received an email from our agency yesterday afternoon with the details that our paperwork has been processed and we have received a court date for our sweet little girl waiting for us in Ethiopia. We were filled with joy and completely overwhelmed as there is so much to do before then. We had prepared ourselves that our court date would not come at this time but later.
It was fun telling the kids as they both reacted in different ways. Neha is excited to go and yet nervous about the big trip ahead. She mentioned that they had only travelled as far as Canada. Jacob is worried about missing Halloween and what will happen to Christmas as he quickly calculated that we may have his little sister home by that time. I love my little one's at home as they are so honest. Please pray for them both as they are anxious and excited at the same time.
We had just turned in our visa applications to Ethiopia this weekend and we were still waiting for the kids passports to come and worried about when those would come back. The passports were expiring within 6 months of travel and had to be updated. Jacob and I went to the mail-box that evening and prayed that the passports would be there today. Thank you God... The passports were in the mailbox and we quickly got their paperwork together last night and took it the Fed-Ex center at the airport to get on the 9:00 pm fed-ex flight. We finally put the kids to bed and then sat down to realize what was happening.
All of sudden it finally set in and the excitement, tears, and joy overwhelmed our hearts. My heart is full today and feel very blessed and excited to see what is going to happen next.
"The right word at the right time is like golden apples in silver jewelry." Proverbs 25:11
We are most probably leaving for Ethiopia by October 30th for a week. I will stay a little while longer to make sure our daughter is settled into her new location. Please continue to pray for our daughter in Ethiopia, safe travels for our family, and for all things to go well in Ethiopia during the court proceedings. Please also pray for our meeting with our daughter that she knows our heart when we see her. We know that God is in complete control over all of this and we are trusting each day with faith like we never have.
"Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.” Proverbs 3:5
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you for all your prayers, support and concern. We are so blessed by your kind words today and your encouragement towards our family and kids.
